This pendant is made from sterling silver and is crafted as a silver pig (pik) pendant. The length of the pig from the bail to the bottom is 1.5cm and the width is 8mm. The pig is an important animal in Papua New Guinea and is a much wanted livestock piece as it holds economical and social attributes. While the pig is bread for its meat it is also a symbol of social status as those who have pig livestock are seen as higher than those without. This sweet little pendant really is a cutie.
