Silver Key Ring With Sepik Mask From Papua New Guinea
This keyring has been beautifully designed out of sterling silver to resemble the remarkable masks from the Sepik area of Papua New Guinea. The keyring has a length of 45mm and width of 16mm and has been wonderfully detailed to look like the amazing masks of Papua New Guinea. The traditional masks from Guinea are hang made from mud and created to represent the peoples spirits. The elders of the tribes will then wear these masks during ceremonies so that they may become the spirit teachers. It is believed that the spirits the masks represent will inhabit the masks and allow them to enact their will upon the people. While this keyring does not hold the power of the real masks it is still a beautiful tribute to the Papua New Guinean traditions.
