The traditional masks from Guinea are hang made from mud and created to represent the peoples spirits. The elders of the tribes will then wear these masks during ceremonies so that they may become the spirit teachers. It is believed that the spirits the masks represent will inhabit the masks and allow them to enact their will upon the people. While this keyring does not hold the power of the real masks it is still a beautiful tribute to the Papua New Guinean traditions.
