This pendant features a King of Saxony bird of paradise design in intaglio on a small round disc. King of Saxony birds of paradise are endemic to the islands of the Bismarck Archipelago in Papua New Guinea. They are represented on the coat of arms of the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, and are also common on the flags of the two countries.
