Tahitian Pearl & Diamond Earrings In 18K Yellow Gold
A beautiful pair of deep lustred Tahitian Black Pearl drop earrings set in 18ct yellow gold with a small round diamond at the bottom of a pear shaped bail. The pearls are 10 -10.5 mm round and the colour is a dark silvery grey with a slight green / purple undertone. The earrings have a post and butterfly, and they weigh 5.4 grams. Made in Australia.
Tahitian black pearls are grown in the saltwater oyster called Pinctata Margaritifera unique for its black lip and large size. Found in Tahitian Polynesia and other nearby islands they come in a variety of colours and different undertones. Natural high lustred black pearls are extremely rare and quite valuable.
