This boulder opal is translucent with mauve, and ochre colours which looks like Uluru amongst an array of different stripes, tones and pattern. The gold plated pendant is a double bezel set with a simple swinging bail. Approximate size 2X 2cm in a triangular shape. The length of the pendant from the top of the bail is approximately 3.3cm. The gold plate has a ceramic coating to prevent tarnishing.

Australian solid opals are among the most precious gemstones in the world and are known for their eye-catching beauty and array of vivid colours. They range from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Solid opal can be worn in water, however they do not like detergents, or any chemicals. It requires care when wearing so as to not scratch or break the stone. There are three different types of Australian solid opal: White Opal from South Australia, Boulder Opal from Queensland and Black Opal from Lightning ridge in New South Wales.
